22K - Half Marathon
22 km | ~800m ascent | ~80% trail | ~20% gravel
The race starts and finishes at Norefjell Ski & Spa. The first 3 km follow a gravel road up towards Leppejuvet — a great warm-up to get your legs moving and your excitement building for the beautiful mountain terrain ahead.
From there, the course continues on a mix of flat, uphill and downhill towards Narumseter (5 km). Here, runners take a sharp right turn off the dirt road and onto a narrow, technical singletrack that climbs up into the high mountains.
The trail is steep and narrow at first, but soon the terrain opens up. The climb continues alongside beautiful mountain creeks, gradually leading you onto the mountain plateau. After about 350 m of elevation gain, the trail turns left onto a steep downhill towards Gammelsætra.
At 13 km, the route comes down onto a gravel road and you close in on the aid station — a well-deserved break with snacks and energy drinks.
The next section is more runnable, following a cycling path back towards Norefjell. A HOKA Fly segment comes at around 19 km, followed by a slight uphill and then the final descent down to the hotel. Be aware of faster descenders overtaking here.
Once you're down the final descent, you'll hear and see the finish line. Give it everything you have left, cross the line, and celebrate your accomplishment with fellow runners!
